Fertiliser

My wife and I were walking around our garden, looking at things that were, or were not, coming up in the beds. We stopped to look at a few sorry looking stalks coming up out of a patch of ground.

I looked quizzically at my wife as I gestured to the stalks.

She said, "Peonies."

I replied, "I don't think it'll help."
